Services we offer
Utilising the latest technologies and a team of specialists, we can meet a wide range of individual needs for all our clients:
Prevention
Prevention is fundamental, and at Smileland, we place great emphasis on it. We care for our patients systematically, conducting preventive check-ups twice a year and recording everything in an electronic dental chart. For areas beyond visual inspection, we use digital X-rays to detect even the smallest cavities. Our patients regularly visit dental hygiene sessions, which are an integral part of systematic prevention and essential in modern dental care.
Comprehensive dental diagnostics
Detailed dental diagnostics are the foundation of successful and minimally invasive dental treatment. We use state-of-the-art equipment such as intraoral dental X-rays, intraoral cameras, panoramic X-rays of both jaws and sinuses, and CT imaging for 3D views, especially in microscopic endodontics, implantology, and complex dental surgeries.
We also have operating microscopes and magnifying glasses. High-resolution imaging methods allow us to detect dental caries at an early stage and prevent further complications.
Conservative dentistry
When a tooth is damaged by decay or injury, we always aim to use minimally invasive restoration techniques. Conservative treatment involves gently removing dental caries, addressing its complications, and restoring the tooth’s chewing and aesthetic functions. At Smileland, we use only photo composite materials from renowned German or Swiss brands with many years of clinical research. We pride ourselves on their quality. We do not use amalgam fillings due to our conviction and research on their harmful effects on human health and teeth.
Aesthetic dentistry
Aesthetic dentistry is suitable for anyone looking to improve their quality of life, achieve a brighter smile, and maintain excellent oral health. Beautiful and healthy teeth provide another reason to smile fully. For high aesthetics, we use teeth whitening, aesthetic photocomposite fillings, ceramic veneers, and ceramic or zirconium crowns.
Implantology
Today, implants are the first choice for tooth replacement compared to previous solutions like dental bridges. Based on clinical examination and evaluation of panoramic or CT images, our implantologist, MUDr. Tomáš Brázda, decides on the type of implant and implantation procedure. It’s important to understand that implants require meticulous care, thorough cleaning, and regular dental hygiene visits to prevent implant rejection.
Oral surgery
When saving a tooth isn’t possible, or wisdom teeth are unfavourably positioned, we proceed with extraction. Procedures are conducted as gently as possible, always using local anaesthesia to ensure optimal healing in relation to the patient’s overall health. The most common surgical procedures we perform are wisdom tooth extractions.
Microscopic endodontics
Microscopic endodontics involves treating root canals using magnification provided by an operating microscope. We undertake this treatment for dental injuries affecting the pulp and complications from dental caries. The goal of microscopic treatment is to preserve a non-vital tooth in the oral cavity without compromising its function. Root canal treatment represents the last chance to save a tooth, so it’s essential to utilise all available modern technologies to ensure the highest quality treatment.
Paediatric dentistry
Do you remember being afraid of going to the dentist as a child?
We understand that visiting the dentist can be a stressful experience for children. That’s why we treat our little patients with great patience and empathy. Healthy baby teeth are the best foundation for strong, permanent teeth in adulthood and their functionality into old age. It is crucial to take perfect care of children’s temporary teeth and avoid any unhealthy sweetened drinks and foods.
Even when there is no issue, regular visits to the dentist are very important for children. Building trust with the little patient and fostering a positive relationship with the dentist lays the groundwork for smooth treatment in the future. Consistency and diligence are essential, both in adhering to regular six-month check-ups and maintaining excellent oral hygiene at home. Decay in children’s teeth spreads much faster than in permanent teeth. We use only non-toxic, mercury-free materials.
Regular visits to the dentist should begin as soon as the first tooth erupts, around six months of age.
